North Area Forums
The North Area Forum meets at the North Oxford Community Centre. The quarterly meetings consist of invited community representatives and councillors and will be open to all members of the public. They focus on the communities within the area, profiling some topical local issues raised by members of the community, with City Council Officers and local councillors able to offer their views and suggest how these can best be addressed. Low Carbon Oxford North
Low Carbon Oxford North is a new voluntary Community Action Group of local people who want to take practical action to tackle climate change in our community. Their aim is to promote sustainable living and they are looking for households to take part in their Carbon Busting campaign. For more details click here.
North Oxford Association
The North Oxford Association operates the NOA Community Centre at Diamond Place, next to the Ferry Leisure Centre, and also at the Pavilion in Cutteslowe Park.
This is a centre for local people to join, where they can drop in and have a drink and a chat with other members.
It is also the venue for a wide variety of clubs, groups and courses. Full details are on the website.
People who live in North Oxford (in the area north of St. Giles and including Jericho, Wolvercote and Cutteslowe) who need assistance may be able to get help from the Association.
So if you really cannot get to the doctor's surgery, or cannot keep that appointment at the local hospital, need a visit for whatever reason, cannot get out to the shops, or even find it difficult to exercise the dog they will try to help. Tel. 552295 between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday and talk to the volunteer on duty.
