The Cherwell Boathouse is an iconic Oxford punt station and restaurant, close to the centre of Oxford and on the banks of the river Cherwell. Both the Restaurant and the Marquee on the terrace overlook the river and are wonderful places to celebrate all types of occasions.

We can cater for weddings and other functions and parties, and corporate days out with optional conference facilitie. Punting is also available during the season to complement your event. The Marquee can accommodate from 25 to 125 guests in a variety of formats from informal to a three-course sit-down meal, and you can include music and dancing.

The restaurant offers a fine dining experience, with an award-winning wine list and friendly attentive service. We are open throughout the year and can accommodate parties of up to 75 guests. Al fresco dining is also available overlooking the river.

From September to April we have monthly wine tasting dinners, featuring wines by region or grape, and matched with a six course tasting meal. During the Summer there are monthly performances from a variety of local musicians and bands, and special events such as Opera on the River.
