North Oxford Association runs the busy local community centre next to the Ferry Leisure Centre in Summertown, and also at the Pavillion in Cutteslowe Park. We run classes from Calligraphy to Tai Chi. All the activities that take place at the two sites are listed here. NOA exists to serve the local community, so pop along and find out what you can do here or how to get involved.
Halls for Hire
Our halls, library and lecture rooms are available to hire for courses, meetings, parties and more, at very reasonable prices. Please click here to see full details.
Neighbourly Help
As well as offering activities for the local community, NOA runs a Neighbourly Help service. Volunteers help local people who may need some support, perhaps with shopping, a visit and chat, or a lift to the hospital. Contact NOA if you would like help or know someone else who needs help.
Volunteering Opportunities
NOA is largely run by volunteers and always welcomes new volunteers with open arms. There are plenty of opportunities, from serving in the coffee bar to working at the reception desk or volunteering for our Neighbourly Help service. Training is given, and it's a friendly place to work. Other opportunities include writing for NOA News, helping with publicity and cooking and serving for the monthly Lunch Club. New ideas and new volunteers are always welcomed.
Membership
Help support NOA by becoming a Member. Membership is open to all and costs just £12 a year. Members enjoy fantastic discounts in local shops and businesses as well as at the Ferry Leisure Centre (including a swim on Tuesday evenings 7-8), free social events at NOA including lunches and coffee mornings, reduced costs on some courses and access to the NOA library.
Check the website for up-to-date listings and information, or find NOA on Facebook.
